It's no secret that Android is big in Europe. Now UK retailer the Carphone Warehouse has given us a new set of ridiculous sales numbers to show just how far the platform has come in the past twelve months. In a press release marking their one millionth Android handset sold, Carphone boasts that its sales of Android phones have grown "well over" 2,000 percent over the past year, a number it describes as "phenomenal".
The Carphone Warehouse has won exclusivity deals for a number of desirable Android devices over the past few months. Until recently it was the only place to get hold of Samsung's Nexus S in the UK, and it currently has similar exclusivity agreements worked out for the HTC Incredible S and Motorola Xoom 3G. Carphone's full press release can be found after the jump.
