The second session of qualifying practice at Miller was run on a very wet track, leaving the order established during yesterday's dry qualifying session unchanged. But the wet weather did see a few different names near the top of the timesheet. Fastest man in the session was Aprilia's Leon Camier, who had been 2nd fastest in the dry. But in 2nd and 3rd came Effenbert Liberty's Jakub Smrz and BMW's Leon Haslam, both scoring better in the wet than in the dry. Fastest man in the dry, Carlos Checa, set the 4th fastest time of the session.
The grid order will be set during Superpole, and given the current state of the weather, the chances are that this will be a pretty wet affair too.
