Set-top SoC integrates dual RISC cores with analog and Ethernet interfaces

STMicroelectronics (ST) announced an SoC (system on chip) for HD-ready PVRs (personal video recorder) and cable set-top boxes (STBs) system on chip (SoCs). Available with a reference design, the Linux-ready STiH225 combines the earlier 32-bit RISC based STiH225 processor with an STV0130 analog front-end and Ethernet interface, and supports DOCSIS and EuroDOCSIS cable standards, the chipmaker says....
